Hexagon Quilt in Progress

I have been working on this hexagon quilt for about 3 months. It is based on a pattern from Quiltopia which is a French quilting magazine. The original had Toile fabric in the large spaces but I decided to put some applique in instead.

As you can see I still have one space to fill. I have loved doing this in the evenings and will miss it once it is done. Not sure yet how I will quilt it.

Grandson No 2

Last post I introduced Josh who is my eldest grandson by 3 months but today it is Rileys turn. He is very sweet and looks like an angel but I think his mother will have to watch out as he gets older.

After enjoying lots of other blogs as a reader I have finally decided to take the plunge and start my own blog.

I may be a little slow to get started - still work full time and will have to spare some of my precious quilting time to add to this blog.

First things first though this is a photo of my eldest grandson Josh. He was supposed to be feeding the ducks but ate the bread instead.
